Alan’s Interest in working with wood started at an early age, watching and assisting his father with construction projects around the family home. His father, skilled in carpentry, taught Alan the skills needed to use hand tools and lay out projects.

Alan’s Interest in working with wood started at an early age, watching and assisting his father with construction projects around the family home. His father, skilled in carpentry, taught Alan the skills needed to use hand tools and lay out projects.
Later, construction projects in his own home turned to new interests in the finer details of woodworking and some early pieces of furniture. Years later, Alan's joy of working with wood is still alive as he creates beautiful laminated wood landing nets and fine cutting/serving boards.
Alan has combined his lifelong passion for fly fishing with his woodworking by designing and building wood landing nets and accessories for discerning fly fishers. Alan’s nets are used by fly fishers across North America.
